BVN Europa TV is a television channel that airs on the Hot Bird satellite in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. This public television channel for Dutch and Flemish people abroad is the result of collaboration between the Dutch or NPO public broadcasting system and the organization of the Flemish broadcasting or VRT. Thus, the broadcast programs consist primarily of programming deals of the Dutch television and Flemish broadcasters.

The programmes that dominate on BVN TV Europa, are related to these two source countries. The important events of these places such as the Christmas speech from the Netherlands or the events of the Belgian royal family are also broadcast live on BVN TV. Citizens of these two countries who are overseas, in Europe, can still follow the news of their countries, despite the distance. We’d like to bring to your notice that there are also variations of BVN TV for other continents.

In addition to news and documentaries, sports, youth and entertainment programmes are broadcast 24/7 through the Hot Bird satellite. The majority of top Dutch and Flemish soaps, television series and productions are broadcast on BVN TV Europa. Children have not been forgotten, as there are also programmes such as Sesame Street that are dedicated to them. In addition, there are a number of educational programmes and quizzes tailored to the youth. So, if you are Dutch, Flemish or a person who is passionate about this country but do not reside there, BVN TV Europa will keep you updated through various broadcasts.
