EBC (the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation), was formerly known as ETV (Ethiopian TV) and is an Ethiopian state television channel that broadcasts programs in several languages: Amharic, Oromo, Somali, Tigrinya, Afar, Harari, and also English. This TV station is directly under the control of the Ethiopian government, and covers the entire national territory. It can also be watched for free internationally, thanks to its presence on the Hotbird satellite.
