Foreword
Eutelsat attaches great importance to privacy and data protection with regard to users of its websites, mobile applications and services.
This policy (hereinafter “the Policy”) sets out Eutelsat’s commitment to protect the Personal Data of internet users visiting this Site or Application and users of the Services. It also informs you of the procedures for collecting and using your Personal Data and your rights in this regard.
It may be amended at any time by Eutelsat to comply with all regulatory, legal, editorial and/ or technical developments.

As such, Eutelsat has appointed a Data Protection Officer responsible for ensuring that data processing activities carried out by Eutelsat or its potential subcontractors are GDPR compliant and that you can exercise your rights.
The Policy applies in addition to the provisions of the Terms and Conditions of Use for Services available on the Site and the Application and uses the same definitions.
Article 1. Who is responsible for processing?
Eutelsat, a Public Limited Company with capital of 658,555,372.80 euros, registered in the Paris Companies and Trade Register under no. 422 551 176, whose registered office is 32 boulevard Gallieni, 92130 Issy-les-Moulineaux, France, is responsible for processing.
Article 2. What Personal Data does Eutelsat collect?
Eutelsat processes your Personal Data, that you have sent it directly and that comes from using the Site, Application or Services.
Eutelsat may be required to process the following types of data:
- identification data: email address, year of birth, country of residence, language(s) spoken;
- data about the User’s preferences: type and genre of favourite programmes; favourite channels;
- technical data: browsing data, login history;
- data relating to any complaints from Users.
Article 3. Why is your Personal Data collected by Eutelsat?
Because it is responsible for processing, Eutelsat collects and processes your Personal Data for specific, explicit and legitimate purposes.
Eutelsat processes your data when you browse the Site or Application and if you make any requests for information.
Eutelsat processes your data when you create a Personal Account. The purposes of collection and processing are to manage your account, improve products or services and manage any pre-litigation and litigation. The legal basis for this processing is to execute a contract.
Eutelsat processes your Personal Data when you explicitly register your preferences.

Article 5. How long will your Personal Data be kept for?
Depending on the purpose of the processing, the duration for which Personal Data will be kept may vary. Except as required by law, Eutelsat keeps Personal Data for the duration necessary for the intended purpose.
Personal data will therefore be kept for the period during which you use our Services. It will be deleted from the date when the Personal Account is deleted. This will occur either at your request or at the initiative of Eutelsat if the User’s Personal Account is inactive for more than twelve (12) months.
Beyond this time, only the anonymized statistical data will be kept.
Site login data will only be kept for a period of thirteen (13) months.
Article 6. Where is your Personal Data processed?
The data collected is processed by Eutelsat within the European Union.
Article 7. How is the security of your Personal Data ensured?
Eutelsat ensures that your Personal Data is processed in accordance with applicable regulatory and legal requirements and this includes when certain transactions are carried out by subcontractors. To this end, appropriate technical and organizational measures are put in place by Eutelsat and its potential subcontractors to ensure security with regards to processing your Personal Data.
Article 8. What are your rights and how can you exercise them?
Subject to regulatory limitations, you have several rights with respect to the processing of your Personal Data:
- the right to be informed about the use of your Personal Data;
- the right to access your Personal Data held by us;
- the right to ask for inaccurate Personal Data to be rectified, or completed if it is incomplete;
- The right to ask for your Personal Data to be erased;
- the right to ask for the the processing of your Personal Data to be restricted;
- the right to object to the processing of your Personal Data for legitimate reasons;
- the right to the portability of your Personal Data;
- for processing based on consent, the right to withdraw your consent at any time;
- the right to give instructions about how your Personal Data will be used after your death.
