Sat.tv is a free TV channel and programme guide. Powered by leading satellite operator Eutelsat, it gives viewers access to the wide range of television channels broadcast free-to-air via its flagship orbital positions. Users can scroll through a choice of channel listings and browse the detailed programme guide with all the content for the next 7 days. Channels are organised numerically according to the country or language selected, and easily identifiable by their logos and genres.

These features, a world-first for free-to-air satellite TV reception, are now available on a growing range of new compatible receivers. These can be identified by the Sat.tv logo on the receiver’s packaging and/or front panel. Only authorized products that have been Sat.tv certified by their manufacturers can use the logo. Please note that this certification covers the Sat.tv specific features only. It does not cover any other functions that the manufacturer includes in their products, for which Eutelsat is not responsible.

Sat.tv promotes legal television broadcasting via satellite and is against all forms of piracy.

The Sat.tv service is currently available on the ‘Eutelsat-Nilesat’ orbital positions at 7/8 degrees West and ‘HOTBIRD’ at 13 degrees East.

Three high-power satellites at the 7 and 8° West orbital positions broadcast nearly 1,200 channels including around 1,000 free TV channels and 200 radio stations, the vast majority of which are Arabic-speaking. The reception area of ​​these satellites covers all of North Africa and the Middle East.

About the HOTBIRD satellites 13° East

The HOTBIRD satellites at 13° East broadcast around 1,000 TV channels, including 400 free-to-air TV channels and 300 radio stations, in several dozen languages. The reception area of ​​these satellites covers all of Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
